If you’re a BlueAdvantage member, vision benefits are included with your coverage.  Use your benefits in three easy steps:

  • Locate an in-network provider by using our Find a Doctor tool. Or, you can call 1-844-261-9034 (TTY: 711), Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET, and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., except on Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
  • Make an appointment with an in-network provider.
  • Show your Member ID card at your appointment. Network providers will charge you based on the in-network member costs listed in your Evidence of Coverage. They will also file claims directly – you don’t have to worry about them. But, you will be responsible for any copays, costs not covered by your plan or charges above your plan allowance.

With a few clicks, our Find a Doctor tool lets you search by specialty, name, and location. Advanced search options allow you to search for providers by gender, professional degree, hospital affiliation, foreign language, and more.

Using an Out-of-Network Provider

While you can visit any vision provider you choose, using a provider in your vision network usually makes it easier for you to take advantage of your vision benefits. Not all of our plans include out-of-network vision benefits. Check your Evidence of Coverage to see what your plan covers.

If you do visit an out-of-network vision provider and have out-of-network plan benefits, you will pay the full cost of services up front and then send us a reimbursement claim.
